Shah Rukh Khan Post Debacle Of Zero Says, “I Have Decided To Enjoy Some Un-Success”
Shah Rukh Khan is on a spree of exploring new arena so that he can narrate better stories onscreen after the failure of Zero at the box-office
Shah Rukh Khan is on a break from his professional commitments after the debacle of his last release Zero, helmed by Aanand L Rai. Not just Zero, even a couple of his movies like Jab Harry Met Sejal, Raees, didn’t do as expected at the box-office. But the actor, who has been on the throne for so many years is not bogged down by it at all. Instead, the actor is now more passionate to narrate better stories on screen.
During his interaction at the 10th edition of Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, he said, “What drives me to do a film is the people around me who make such a great cinema... And I think I have a huge amount of capacity to do some really good cinema. I have 20-25 years of good cinema left in me.” The actor was honoured with Excellence in Cinema award at IFFM 2019 held in Melbourne.
Speaking about the debacle of Zero and his short break from work he further continued, ‘’I just finished the last film I made and to put it lightly, it was a disaster. I said to myself that let me enjoy a little bit of un-success as I had success for so long. So I have taken some time off for the next four or five months. As a matter of fact, I’m on these breaks... Coming here (Melbourne) and meeting people, realising and discovering new stories, doing intellectual speaking.”
SRK opened the IFFM with Rima Das’ movie Bulbul Can Sing. The actor recently went on a vacation with his kids Suhana Khan, AbRam Khan and Aryan Khan to the Maldives, setting an example of being a perfect father.
